About this video
Quarter marks are increasingly artistic these days! You see anything and everything from national emblems to 'hearts' on a horse's bottom at shows and events. But how on earth do you make them? National dressage rider, Gemma Green, shares her secrets with us which include stencils and a Corn Flakes box! She demonstrates a variety of quarter marks on the beautiful rear of her obliging top horse, Showtime, and tells us about a superstition! Gemma also demonstrates the finishing touch, some stunning 'sharks teeth'. Now you can make your horse stand out from the crowd! Interviewed by Fiona Price.

charlieboy 23 Apr 2011 It's lovely to be shown how it's done - it's always been a mystery to me!
JTdarkmoon 25 Mar 2009 Wow! Your horses look so amazing! Have also just seen Gemma and her amazing horses at the World Class Performance training - her grooms must work so hard to make the horses look like that - I think her head girl must be the best in the world!
MLynn 24 Mar 2009 Really lovely, thanks for this "how to."
