About this video

Gareth was born in the UK but grew up in Australia where his early equestrian influences were rounding up cattle and western riding! On returning to the UK Gareth's first dressage mentor was Stephen Clarke. Now he has his own yard and has clocked up a number of National titles. Gareth talks to Fiona Price about the importance of building a partnership and his reputation as 'Mr Detail'! He rides Korenbloem Dior, a stunning 9 year old gelding who was reserve Advanced Medium champion in the Nationals '08. We watch the pair's harmonious warm up, and their test. Gareth finished 4th in the International Dressage Horse class.
