Hello all, I have a Blue Roan 14.1h Welsh C - who at the moment I ride him in a Sweet Iron bit - as he needed something more to play on than a plain snaffle.
Thinking to the future - if he works better in things like a sweet iron - does anyone know what 'legal' bit i could use for dressage that would still benefit him?
Any answers would be FAB :)

As far as I am aware, the rules state that as long as the metal through the bit is only ONE type, you can ride with no problem, providing the actual bit conforms with the rules.
If you are unsure, BD will be able to help you if you call them.
Although very expensive, the argentine and auregin bits from Sprenger are very nice for the horses as they have a nicer taste.
Hope this helps you. And sorry if I'm wrong but its been a while since i was competing in the UK.
