I would like to know what saddle makes have the best chance of fitting the following two horses. Each horse will have their own saddle I cannot imagine one saddle fitting both horses.
The Broad Girl
Sharifa is a 10yr old arab cross who I use for dressage. She has a very laid back shoulder and almost no wither !!! She is as round as a barrel - literally.
I am currently riding her in a treeless saddle the barefoot London. but I really hate this saddle. It puts me in the wrong position it slips forward as well as from side to side. I also fell off, giving myself severe concussion because the silly saddle slipped.
The Narrow Horse
Cella is so narrow it looks like both her legs come out of the same hole - she is the complete opposite to Sharifa. she is also a slight uphill ride and has hollows on either side of the wither just behind her shoulders. She will change shape as she is worked and builds up muscle. Her mom was also late maturing so it is possible she might broaden out slightly. I just wondered if any one has suggestions for saddle to fit these two.
I had heard that duett saddles fit round horses nicely and wondered if anyone used one and what they thought of them
Thanks

The horses are both extreme types, so I would ask around to find a good saddle fitter who keeps a range of saddles in stock.
You could think about a saddle with adjustable gullets, so you can alter the width as the muscles build up.

Hi Maxineruth
Joallan has given you the best advice possible. Just as no one could recommend what make of shoes would fit you, no one can recommend a make of saddle for your horse or you. Find a good saddle fitter who will try a range of saddles on each horse and will also then adjust the fit so that the saddles really fit well and allow your horses to work comfortably and to the best of their ability.

Thanks.I know the wintec and bates have adjustable gullets I will have to see if I can find other saddles with adjustable gullets.
I know they are both extreme types. Cella was bred by us (accidently) so we can't be blamed for her shape but unfortunately I can't say the same for Sharifa. I seem to be attracted to those very round bodied flat-backed horses. Almost all my horse with the exception of a few are shaped similarly to Sharifa!!!
