I have to say, I was most disappointed that Richard Davidson was commenting on the Kur at Olympia last night. Not that I have anything against him as a person or horseman. Indeed, he has plenty of interesting things to say, BUT PLEASE RICHARD, not whilst the music is on.
It completely ruins it when you can't hear the music for talking, I don't get why they can't be a little more quiet so you can enjoy watching it.

I have to say I agree. I watched it and also felt that the constant commentary from a variety of people, was way too much. Stylistically, I am sure this is down to the producers and the presenter, not the individuals particularly. I also felt it was dummed down to cater for people that are not horsey or not into dressage. But given you had to make an effort to watch it in the first place (on the internet or BBC interactive), I don't think non die-hards would be especially interested!

REALLY, well I don't think you could turn it off last night when it was on normal BBC channels. But will try that next time, thanks!
It really is annoying. I bought the World Cup final DVD one year and had Richard Davidson talking the entire way through. It was such a shame and kind of a waste of money. I watch all these to get ideas for my own Kurs and as a learning tool for riding to them.

I quiet liked the commentry, my non horsey bf always wants to know whats going on and I spend the whole test explaning things to him, so it saved me a job!
