I live in the south of Spain and this is my local showground, so as I didn't have anything ready, i thought I would travel down and watch.
OMG, we have had serious serious amounts of rain here in Southern Spain since halfway through December, but the whole province of Cadiz seems to be under water. When I arrived there, my friends told me that it was horrendous, with classes being postponed, the practice arena looking more suitable for waterskiing and all the horses being led in hand around the stable blocks.
The tour vet is my personal vet so I went to talk to him as well, he agreed it was awful. I feel for everyone down there but the organisers seem to be doing everything they can to continue, although theres not really much they can do with the physical amount of water.
Im pretty grateful to not be competing this year and I think everyone is going to be glad to get home! Hopefully the weather will improve this week.
