I wonder if anyone could give me any ideas for my very complicated situation? Me and my husband are in the process for applying for an American visa, and it is likely that he is going to have to fly over there in a few weeks to set up home/jobs/cars etc. Which will leave me in England on my own.
I'd like to take this opportunity to advance my dressage, but because of saving for America, can't really afford to pay for intensive training. And I can't really take a permanent job since I'd have to quit it in 2/3 months, and that wouldn't be fair on the employer.
Does anyone know of a way I could do this - or a place where I could volunteer my services in exchange for lessons? I don't mind hard work, and I have solid horsecare experience.

Hi, I know a selection of top yards offer this service. Have you tried Gareth Hughes? I don't know wether he has any places or not. But it might be worth a try. Here's his website
www.aspengrovedressage.com
Hope this helps

David and Serena Pincus take working pupils too - it is in Hereford and you live in, get board and tuition six days weekly on schoolmaster horses. You can find them on the internet under Sheepcote Equestrian.

Thanks, I'll look into both of those suggestions!
