This is the most fantastic site, i am on it every day, so i have no issues with what i regard as token payment (the main thing will be persuading peeps to sign up for it), and the other thing is how do you bring on new customers, most peeps i know in the horsey world are unaware such a super website exists!

Thanks for your gesture of support. We'll have to see how we go. We will certainly be stepping up the marketing once the subscription is in place. But if our users can spread the word too, that would be a great help.

If you could provide an A4 poster, i would be happy to print it off and put it up in the yard, tack shop etc.

I have to say I really whilst I have enjoyed watching the majority of videos on here, I won't subscribe and I am just being honest. I've viewed all the videos so far that interest me (not all do of course) and I'd just be logging back on to see if anything new has been added, and of the videos that do interest me I just wouldn't watch them more than once. Whilst this site is of fabulous quality, more and more video sites are available and of course they are all currently free. The blogs just don't interest me so they are not drawing me to the site at all. Quite a few friends, I'm on huge yard, have been on but they won't subscribe either. Watching Anna train was fascinating as it feels so achievable with your horse but watching someone do grand prix movements, whilst fascinating once, just aren't as interesting as it feels so unachievable and I can watch this sort of thing on other sites and on tv. I am only being honest and I logged on and watched understanding it to be a free site so I can't feel guilty for watching already either.

The way i look at it, there is no way that such a professional collection of videos could be made with out significant cost (and work), and as i want the site to continue and build, i am happy to pay the fee.
I must admit i use it a lot, and am gradually getting in to dressage as a spectator sport, i also learn a lot about training, even though my own horse will never be good enough to do any advanced work, i feel i can apply the training systems at any level.

LouiseNash, what can I say? Each to their own! Personally, I am an event rider but I have found the dressage fascinating as groundwork (different versions of dressage) are the foundation of every discipline (a fact I have discovered since filming). The site is intended to cover a large array of material so you can be ecclectic and take small pieces of wisdom from across the board, experiment for yourself and improve your riding and horsemanship in whatever you do. The blogs are riveting once you get into them, again, across all disciplines because they contain wisdom and information to be extracted and used. Re quality, I don't think you'll beat it anywhere in terms of videos or editorial, and the site is updated constantly throughout everyday so it's a living, breathing community. Furthermore, the direct interaction with top riders through comments on videos and blogs is unprecedented. This all costs money. Not everyone will appreciate Horse Hero offers, like it, or want to be part of it but hopefully, we will attract like minded people who get the concept and recognise they will save time and money as a result of watching our videos as well as be inspired. We are not after world domination, just inspiring those who want to be inspired to acheive a closer relationship with their horse and greater satisfaction with their riding. And we need to make a living doing it! It saddens me that it can no longer be a free resource but for the site to continue, the change to subscription is a necessity.

"We dont have posters but do have flyers. If you email me your address I'll send some. Thanks for that. Email to info@horsehero.com "

Perhaps if you sent one to everyone via email as a pdf those of us with A4 printers next to our desks could print away merrily and save you a load of postage.....

FionaPrice I am sorry that I was honest when I wrote my comments but I was only stating my opinion and I certainly wasn’t unfair or rude. I did not criticise your site in any way at all, quite the contrary. I would imagine that all comments should be welcomed especially if, like two or three times before, you reverse your decision because more than just myself aren’t prepared to pay. Once again I am sorry, just being honest.

I cannot live now without the behind the scenes stuff and I read the blogs of those I want to and not some of the others. Some are unmissable like Mr Garrick!

Louise Nash, no problem with honesty. I was simply putting the counter position to your view. Re changing our minds, not an option this time, I'm afraid. We will not be returning to 'free'. We have learned from our previous attempts at subscription and feel the balance is right now. It's around 33p a week for endless timing saving wisdom to put it in perspective.

Even as a Canadian viewer the price is amazing! To go to some of the other online video sites I would have to pay the same or more for 1 month as opposed to a full year! I did hesitate before subscribing but I am really glad I did. I can't wait to watch the site grow and develop more!

Thank you Fiona for all you do.

I'm a US viewer, and I'm spreading the word on the other side of the pond... Horsehero is a fantastic website, so full of information and inspiration for everyone, whatever age, discipline, level, or nationality. I found the site when it was free, and was very happy to pay the subscription fee in order to keep this going. Just stunning work by Fiona and staff, not to mention all the riders, grooms, vets, trainers, etc, etc, whom so generously share their insight and advice. It really is priceless, and I'm completely hooked!

Thanks for that. Subscribtions, thankfully, are going well, so I can only assume others share your view!

Personally, I think this is a great website and the subscription is nothing at all, I would have said otherwise had it been like some of the other websites where the price is over double that per month and not even with the level of riders you have on here. THe videos are superb quality and all very interesting and different. A great effort is taken not to repeat things, which is nice.

Fiona and her team are doing a great job, and whilst I am a pure dressage rider, I have found the other disciplines fascinating to learn about. I especially enjoy the vaulting - Jo you are amazing, I can't touch my toes some days, never mind what you do!

I also admire the way that Fiona takes the time to reply to people in person and gives a much more personal friendly approach to the site. We are all in this sport because we love horses - whether we are pros, amateurs or pleasure riders, so I think the opinion that someone was on a "huge yard" and would not watch the videos because you had to pay is perhaps a little unreasonable.

I will definately keep on watching the website and picking things up from the pro riders. It really gives something to aspire to and as I am working on being a pro grand prix rider, I need all the help I can get!!
