About this video

Pegasus MK is a 12 year old starting at Grand Prix level. He's not a hot horse and needs a little more encouragement than most but Anna says the rule is he has to work as hard as she does! Anna demonstrates the foundations of piaffe, passage and pirouettes but her preparation applies equally to all levels of dressage. She says it's about teaching reactions and making sure the horse is ready for what you want next. In all movements she focuses on the basics which include staying connected and on the hind leg, being straight through transitions, moving forwards and back and maintaining rhythm and flexion. Her sense of humour is delightful!

Farrieress 6 Oct 2009 Oh my god how big is that areana?! These personalities are brilliant together, Anna's wisdom and sense of humour is very refreshing. What a horse and what a partnership.

maggiehm 3 Oct 2009 Hi Anna, Its always such a joy to watch & listen to your calm, focused work - and I am in love with the 'helpful' MK Pegasus! I learn a lot from your videos - just trying to get back into my riding after a long break, not at all at your level! But watching you gives me something to aim for- and the correct way to do so..thanks Horse Hero!
christina 28 Sep 2009 Another lovely video from Anna. Great to see Pegasus working on the Grand Prix work, I remember seeing him at the Equilibra auction as a young horse to it's great to see him now all grown up! Fab tip about trotting out of the piaffe, that's why I love Horse Hero, all these little gems that never make it into the textbooks.
