About this video

Eventer Georgie Spence is s medal winning Young Riders who has already completed Badminton and Burghley 5 times. Riding the 8 year old Velocity (aimed at 2* in the coming season), Georgie explains the exercise. Three fences in a row are set at a distance which allows her to ride between 3 long and and 5 short strides. The aim is to focus Velocity and achieve control and obedience. In the warm-up she explains how she rides his stiffer side and achieves softness without an argument. She also says it's important not to ask for too much too early. Starting with poles on the ground, Georgie progresses to jumps and Velocity's improvement is noticeable.
