About this video

Fiona rides the last two horses on her shortlist, two gorgeous 5 year olds Daddy Cool and Dayglow. First though, Woodlander Stud's berieter Carston Sandrock shows them to her, starting with Daddy Cool who shows his spirit but manages to keep his cool for Fiona. However, she's not sure she entirely trusts him! Though explosive in the trot up, Dayglow is polite for Fiona under saddle but a little tricky in the contact. Breeder Lynne Crowden explains he likes to test his rider out! Then Fiona and Carsten (aided by Lynne's ever present terrier Elton) discuss all four horses and conclude that two are most suitable. Fiona now has some serious thinking to do!

kevin...y 28 Aug 2010 Excellent viewing!
devond 26 Aug 2010 Ooh, I cannot wait to see who you have picked! I have to say I'm hoping it's Cuba, but I look forward to watching more videos of whatever horse you have chosen!!
DressageSpain 26 Aug 2010 I don't think what Daddy Cool did could be classed as proper rearing! And don't forget, the young horses are all naughty at some point. I think it appears you are looking for a safe option that can take you to a higher level, so Cuba seems the most sensible choice, then the naughty phase will hopefully be over. But if you have gone for that one, you will have to go quite rapidly up the levels, or it will end up being too old. Personally, I liked either of the 5 year olds, who looked to have a bit of life about them.
cariad 26 Aug 2010 I was so was excited to see this next part of your video diary! My heart was in my mouth when you got onto Daddy Cool after his high jinx with Carsten!! I think Cuba is perfect - he seems to be at the stage where you can have a real impact on his future training and also looks to be a sensitive, intelligent horse, but I wish to all to very best in your choice.
