About this video
Leading event rider, Harry Meade, talks about his bitting preferences in the different phases of the eventing competition and his philosophy about bitting in general. It's fascinating to hear what different riders have to say on this very personal but tricky subject. Naturally, their choices are coloured by their experiences of riding different horses, so it's no surprise that every time we ask we get a different response. Nonetheless, the answer to your bitting problem might well be here!

Duchess_Diaries 29 Sep 2009 Final comment about the bit not being the whole answer is great! For those less experienced rider I would be cautious using a gag as a solution but very interesting variations on the gag.
JaneB 11 Nov 2008 Good video! Nice straightforward approach. Particularly like his point about bitting not being the whole answer if your horse has problems.
