About this video

European Champs' GB team gold medallist 2011 Emile Faurie, explains the maintenance work his does with Max in between major championships. "Max is incredibly hot, electric and spooky," says Emile "but there are ways and means of dealing with this, and it can be be a plus". Max is not a flashy mover, his expression has come through training and improving strength. "In fact, there are advantages to Max's 'donkey trot in training" says Emile. Exercises to stop Max taking over and transitions to improve the cadence, help with athleticism. Emile also analyses Max's trail-blazing performance at the Europeans Championships!

TJK 13 Mar 2012 Wow. Awesome. Calm, relaxed and no fuss. So lovely to watch - inspiring and will hopefully help me deal demon corner better at home.
horsehoffman 1 Mar 2012 Such a gorgeous rider...
Flyingchange 7 Jan 2012 I just love how calm and kind he is with the horse.
Jayney 2 Dec 2011 Wow, I have learnt so much watching this. Thanks Emile, you explain things so well!
Thudleston 1 Dec 2011 This is a really fantastic video. I have all the same problems with my horse spooking being tense, taking over in lateral work and subsequently coming against my inside leg. Emile is so inspiring to watch because he is extremely considerate of his horses. It has given me some very good ideas. Thank You!
