About this video
It's amazing how much scope there is for cross-fertilisation between one equestrian discipline and another, once you start to look, and racing certainly has a thing or two to teach us! For instance, how to 'bridge your reins' when you are galloping. If you've ever been bolted with, you'll know how scary this is. So here's a technique to give you extra braking power and let your horse pull against himself. Horse Hero's Fiona Price finds out how the professionals do it and puts it into practice on Charlie Longsdon's gallops!
